Terms of service
Last updated 3 October 2026.
These terms govern your use of WordPlus Cloud, the cloud service at www.wordplus.cloud and api.wordplus.cloud that powers the WebSocket features of the Better Messages WordPress plugin. By creating an account or buying a subscription you agree to them.
1. Who we are
WordPlus Cloud is operated by Andrii Tkachenko, an individual entrepreneur (FOP) registered in Ukraine ("WordPlus", "we", "us"). You can reach us at support@wordplus.cloud.
2. Our reseller, Freemius
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Freemius, Inc. (Wilmington, Delaware, USA). Freemius is the merchant of record for all our orders and sells the subscription to you in its own name. Payment, sales tax, invoices and refunds are handled by Freemius under its terms of service, which apply to your purchase in addition to these terms.
3. Your account
- Give accurate details and keep your email address current. We verify it before the account can be used.
- Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- An account holds one subscription, which covers the number of sites it was bought for.
4. The service
A subscription switches on cloud features for the WordPress sites you connect to your account, such as realtime messaging over WebSocket, push notifications, calls, Cloud AI and mobile app builds, as described on the pricing page. You connect a site from the plugin's settings and approve it in your account. Staging copies of a connected site do not use up a site. Without a subscription, the plugin keeps working in its free mode.
5. Subscriptions and billing
- Subscriptions are paid in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time. The subscription then stays active until the end of the period already paid for.
- We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect on your renewal.
- Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
6. Fair use and acceptable use
Connections are unlimited in normal use. A site that far exceeds normal use may have new clients fall back to the plugin's AJAX mode until use returns to normal, and we will email you if this happens. You may not use the service to break the law, to send spam or malware, to attack or overload our systems or anyone else's, or to resell the service without our agreement. You are responsible for your site, its users and the content they send. We may suspend a site or account that breaks this section, and will tell you why.
7. Your data
Messages and attachments stay in your WordPress database. Our servers route them and process only the metadata needed to deliver them. How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy. Where you need a data processing agreement for your site's users, email us.
8. Availability
We work to keep the service available and fast, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out maintenance, and change or improve features, without reducing what your subscription includes during a paid period.
9. Ending the service
You can delete your account in its settings at any time. We may end these terms with 30 days' notice, or immediately if you seriously or repeatedly break them. If we end them without cause, we refund the unused part of your current period.
10. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue or data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
